Arlington Park Wetland

Arlington Park Wetland

In line with the holistic philosophy of A.B.C. (Activate, beautify and clean), Logan City Council have undertaken works in Arlington Park, Underwood to naturalise the lower section of an open stormwater drain to provide park users with an improved visual amenity and some improvements to aquatic habitat.  By creating an open water which is vegetated with aquatic plants in the water and along its banks, this wetland is providing enhanced amenity to our parklands through increased shade, cooling and for a place to relax.  The wetland is also providing habitat to birds and other native fauna and remove stormwater pollutants.

The Arlington Park wetland was constructed in 2014.
