Free trees

Free Trees

All Logan City ratepayers can access three free trees each financial year under Council's Free Trees program. Schools and community groups based on Council-owned land can receive 50 plants per financial year.

Pest Fishing

More than over 50 Logan residents attended Council’s first ever family pest fishing competition dubbed the "Carp Cup" on Sunday 26 February 2017. The event was held at the Demeio Park water body in Marsden. Both adults and children took part and as you can see from the smiling faces, fun and doing something good for the environment is a hit with everyone.

Who Croaks at Shailer Pioneer Park?

On the 11th and 12th of October 2017, Logan City Council in collaboration with the University of Queensland held frogs surveys at Shailer Pioneer Park. The surveys were part of a broader study which aimed to compare a constructed wetland with natural/more established wetlands for frog species richness in the urban catchment of Slacks Creek in the City of Logan.
